We make Tobacco Leaf Furniture and Decorative Panels

At ARTISAN LEAF, we create bespoke furniture and surfaces that are as beautiful as they are functional—crafted to meet the needs of both residential and commercial spaces. Each piece is made using real, cured tobacco leaves—sourced nationally and internationally for their natural texture, color, and character—then expertly preserved in crystal-clear epoxy resin. This artisanal process transforms each leaf into a richly layered, visually striking design element that feels both refined and unexpected.

Designed for interior designers, architects, and design-savvy clients seeking modern organic luxury, our work brings together craftsmanship and innovation in equal measure. ARTISAN LEAF products offer a bold yet timeless alternative to conventional surfaces, delivering one-of-a-kind pieces that stand out for their natural tactility and curated visual texture. Whether installed in upscale residences, commercial spaces, or boutique hospitality environments, our handcrafted creations are made for interiors where distinctive design truly matters.

Tobacco Leaves are a thing of beauty!

Tobacco has played a complex role throughout human history, influencing cultures and economies worldwide. ARTISAN LEAF has taken this unique leaf, and applied it to make bespoke Tables, Bars and Panels, and Decorative Accessories for premium markets.

Tobacco leaves change from year to year, from farm to farm, and so many other variables.

Each leaf has its own unique characteristics and a certain je ne sais quoi, as no two leaves are alike. It's akin to making moonshine in that family tobacco curing recipes are passed down, or to making wine in that some years the crop is better than others.

Available Leaf Options

Our 'Current' Tobacco: Flue-Cured, Burley, Cigar Leaf, and Dark Fired Burley.

Leaf selection does continuously change due to aesthetics and availability.

Flue-Cured

Flue-Cured

Flue-Cured

Flue-Cured tobacco is dried with in-directed heat from flues or pipes that extend from a furnace into the barn. We source leaves directly from local farmers and are able to hand select them directly out of the barn! Predominantly grown in North Carolina and Virginia, Flue-Cured leaves are bright, and the color varies from golden to deep orange.

Burley

Flue-Cured

Flue-Cured

Burley has slightly larger leaves than flue-cured tobacco. Burley tobacco is 'air-cured’ by hanging in an open sided barn for up to eight weeks to allow air to freely circulate. Predominantly grown in Kentucky and Tennessee, Burley leaves are light brown in color.

Cigar Leaf

Flue-Cured

Cigar Leaf

Cigar Leaf is air-cured tobacco similar to Burley but goes through the extra step of fermentation. The fermentation process develops desired flavors and color. This process can take anywhere from six months to a year. Primarily from the Dominican Republic, where they are specifically grown as "wrapper" leaves, Cigar Leaf vary in color from dark brown to umber.

Dark Fired

Flue-Cured

Cigar Leaf

Dark Fired Burley is hung in an enclosed barn and cured with open fires built on the floor. This curing method takes up to 7 weeks and gives the leaves their distinct color. This US crop is mostly grown in Kentucky and Tennessee. Dark Fired tobacco has very large leaves which have a dark, rich mahogany color.
